A Conscious Cup / A guided coffee tasting experience through somatic awareness.
This offering is a digital download with access to a recording of the guided audio; instructions on how to get started, and post tasting worksheets to record your perceptions and integrate the experience.
While I would love for everyone to do this experience with Fincabrew coffee, if that is not accessible to you, I encourage making the extra effort to source a locally roasted, direct trade bean of light to medium roast. Everything holds vibration, and the integrity of sourcing from origin to your cup is paramount for this experience.
A Conscious Cup begins with a bit of storytelling to transport you to origin in Huila, Colombia. You’ll then be asked to participate in a short breathwork exercise to engage your somatic awareness, and from there you will be guided along in the tasting where you will become aware of how you perceive the coffee as you smell and drink it. The experience is layered with music that was created specifically for this coffee - the soundscape captures the essence of the energy of the coffee and includes small moments recorded at the farm such as the wind, the plinking of cherries into buckets and the crackling of coffee roasting in a brick oven - all to deepen your connection with the origin of the bean. The guided tasting is meditative and engaging; it’s meant to transport you as much as it is designed to bring you closer to yourself and your connection with coffee.
